New Support for Short Breaks Capital Funding (.pdf)

This newly developed document forms the first part of TDC's capital support product for local areas and will be supplemented with case studies during the next few months.  It is intended to supplement the formal guidance contained in the Aiming High for Disabled Children Short Breaks Implementation Guidance and has been drawn up by practitioners to be used as a set of prompts to support the capital planning process.  Local areas should continue to refer to the Short Breaks Implementation Guidance (DCSF, 2008), the Memorandum of Grant (Feb 2009) and their own local authority/PCT policies and procedures.  Any local areas with good practice examples around capital to share, should email amanda.best@togetherforchildren.co.uk.
